Zambia Open Community Schools (ZOCS) wants to give every vulnerable child in Zambia access to quality education so they can build a sustainable life. To achieve this, the community schools are supported by Parents Community Schools Committees (PCSC), parent associations that take on the school management. Among other things, they take care of the school infrastructure, school meals, and recruiting teachers, and they raise awareness among parents in the neighbourhood about the importance of (early) education for their children.
